The Rotary Heat Exchangers:Operating Principle

The rotary heat exchanger has two types of form that are total heat and sensible heat recovery exchanger.

Post ContentThe rotary heat exchanger as a heat storage core, when the fresh air passes through a semi-circle of the wheel exchanger while the exhaust wind reverses through the other semi-circle of the wheel exchanger. In this way, fresh air and exhaust air will alternately transform through the rotary heat exchanger.

In winter, the rotary heat storage core absorbs the heat (wet) from the exhaust air, and when it goes to the fresh air side, the heat storage core releases the heat (wet) due to temperature (wet) difference. When it goes to the exhaust side again, continues to absorb the amount of heat (wet) from the exhaust air. This repeated cycle to achieve energy recovery, the working principle shown in picture. The cooling operation is the opposite process in summer.

When running the Total Heat Rotary Wheel Heat Exchanger, the water molecules in the air will be absorbed on the molecular sieves’ surface of the honeycomb, and when the wheel transferred to the other side, the water molecules will be released, because the difference in the pressure of the water molecules.

The total heat Rotary Heat Exchanger utilizes exhaust air and fresh air entering to exchange heat and latent heat to realize energy recovery, thereby achieving energy saving and maintaining good indoor ventilation. In summer times, the fresh air can be pre-cooled and dehumidified, and in winter times, the fresh air can be preheated and humidified.
